On 06-10-2013 Scholarship worth Rs. 21,100 (Twenty one thousand one hundred only) has been distributed among the meritorious Students of stone carving fine Arts, Ayurvedic Medical Science College and students of local Govt, Corporation schools and colleges. The name of late Shilpi Basavanna of Mysore at the Temple premises. This is the 21st year in succession the Chowdeshwari Charitable Trust, has distributed the Scholarship.

On 29th December, 2013 distributed 210 sarees to the poorer section of the society at Hari Nagar, Bolakpur, Hyderabad.

At A.P. State Home and Oldage home distributed 55 sarees and 100 Kgs of Rice on 29th December, 2013.

60 sarees were distributed at Amma Nanna Oldage home, Ibrahim Patnam, Ranga Reddy Dist on 29th December, 2013.

45 sarees were distributed to the poorer section at Ambedkar Nagar, Yellareddyguda, Hyderabad-45 on 29th December, 2013.

On 11th June 2012, 50 Kg Rice & 100 Nos of coconut has been donated to Prasanna Anjaneya Temple , Ragi Gudda, 9th Block, Jayanagar, Bengaluru – 560069, in order to utilise the same for the mass feeding to be held by Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy Bhaktha Mandali Trust® on every Saturday at the temple premises.

On 5th February 2012 a mass feeding was arranged for about 3 to 4 thousand people by the trust at the trust premises, between 11Am & 3Pm.

Rs. 10,000/- has been donated to Friends Youth Association, Yelanadu, C.N. Halli TQ., Tumkur District, against their letter dated 17-10-2012 towards food supply for the players taking part in their 9th year state level Volley ball tournament held between 20th October and 30th October 2012. This tournament has been organised in connection with the Dasara Annual Jatara function of Sri Sidda Rameshwara Swamy of Yelanadu.

On 20th February 2012 the Inauguration of the modernised toilets & pure drinking water unit has taken place at the premises of Government Junior College , Pattanayakana Halli, Sira Taluk, Tumkur District. The Toilets have been constructed & donated by Sri Chowdeshwari Charitable Trust, Mathikere, Bangaluru-560054. The entire cost of the complete project was Rs.3, 25,000/-.

On 1st July 2012, Rs. 50,000/= has been donated to Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation, a joint venture of Sri Sringere Sharada Peetham Charitable Trust®, “Sriniketana”, 1786, 34 th cross 14th Main Road, Banashankari 2nd stage, Bengaluru-560070., for the treatment of poor cancer patient at their Hospital situated at Shankarmutt premises, 5th cross Road, Shankarpuram, Bengaluru-560004.

Police out post has been constructed at cost of Rs. 78,000/= at Sri Chowdeshwari Bus Stand, Mathikere, Bangalore-560054, and the same has been Inaugurated o 14th June 2012 at 10.30 Am by ACP, Yeshwanthpur Division, Sri. Hanumathappa in the august present of Sri. B.R Nanjundappa, Councilor, Sri. Purushotham, Circle Inspector, Yeshwanthpur Circle, and Sri. Anantharaman, Managing Trustee of Sri chowdeshwari Temple.

On 21-10-2012 20th Years Scholarship function was held at Sri Chowdeshwari Devi Temple premises wherein Rs. 22,300/- has been given to the students studying at Gangarasa Shilpa Kala Collage, Kengal , Chennapatna, Chitrakala Parishad, Kumara Park West, Bangalore-20, Sri Jayachama Rajendra Ayurvedic Govt. Collage, Gandhi Nagar, Bangalore-9 and the meritorious students studying at Govt./BBMP Schools and Collages in and around Mathikere. The Scholarship is being given in the name of Late Sir Shlipi Basavanna of Mysore.

On 25th December 2011, the Trust Branch of Hyderabad has been duly inaugurated by Sri. Chukka Ramaiah, MLC, well known educationist and the President of the Basara Temple committee at Sri Shanthinikethan Women’s college Auditorium at Yaragudda, Hyderabad , Sri. Anantharaman – Managing Trustee of Sri Chowdeshwari Charitable & Temple Trust Bangaluru along with Smt. Lakshmi Anantharaman, Sri. A. Nagendra Prasad and Sri. A. Pradeep Kumar, Life Trustees of both the trust of Bangaluru was present on the Dias. On this occasion the dignitaries like Smt. Lakshmi Kanthamma – Retired Principal & columnist in Vasundara, Smt. Amba Ramaswamy, Principal Shanthinikethan Women’s college and Sri. PCVC Raju, President of the Hyderabad Branch were chief guest, and Sri. Sathyadithya, Peetadipathi, Sri Rajarajeshwari Shakthi Peeta, HAL colony, Balanagar, Hyderabad was presided over the function.

The meeting of devotees of Hyderabad was held on 07/12/2011 at 8:00 PM at 1-6-188/189, Kandoji Bazar, Secunderabad -500003 under the able guidance of Sri Ananthramanji, Managing Trustee of Sri Chowdeshwari Temple and Charitable Trust, Mathikere, Bengaluru-54. It was decided to constitute a branch at Hyderabad affiliated to Sri Chowdeshwari Charitable Trust, Mathikere, Bengaluru-54. Smt. R. Lakshmi, Life Trustee of both the trust was also present in the meeting. The following office bearers and executive committee members were appointed as by Sri Anantharamanji as guided by Goddess:

It was decided to have an inaugural function of the Hyderabad branch. The inauguration will be followed by interaction session of their personnel experience with Goddess, cultural programme and Lunch on 25/12/2011 at 9:30 AM at Shanthi Nekaten Women’s College Auditorium, Erragudda, Hyderabad. It was also decided to invite imminent personalities of Hyderabad to grace the occasion.

As decided in the meeting an invitation has been extended to Sri Satyaadithya Garu, Peetadhipathi, Sri Rajarajeshwari Sivashakti Petam, HAL Colony, Hyderabad to preside over the inaugural function and the same has been accepted by him.

It also decided to extend a letter inviting Sri Chukka Ramaiah Garu, Hon’ble MLC, Chairman – Basara to be the Chief Guest to inaugurate the Hyderabad branch.

The Charitable trust was reconstituted for a period of two years i.e. 6/11/2011 to 5/11/2013, during recently concluded Charitable trust meeting on 6/11/2011 at the Temple premises. Following are trustees:

In continuation with the construction of urinals & lavatories for the use of Students & Staff of Government Pre-University College Pattanayakana Halli, SiraTaluk, Tumkur District., another Rs.1,00,000/= has been donated as advance for the same. Total advance paid so for is Rs.2 lakhs out of estimated cost of Rs. 2.50 lakhs. Work is in progress.

On 05-06-2011 Rs. 30,000/= has been donated to Sri Shakthi Devathe Maramma Devi Devasthana Seva Samithi TrustR to construct Sri Maramma Devi Temple, at Hosakere, Hagalavadi Hobli, Gubbi Taluk, Tumkur District.

On 19th December 2011, 100 sarees with blouse pieces has been distributed among the poor women who have assembled at a function arranged by Vishva Bhavaikyatha Bharathiya Trust® “Nammavaru “Dharma Samsthe & JanaBharathi Seva Samsthe at Art of Living Maithreya Auditorium, Kanakapura Road, Bangalore - The name of the function was Bhakthi Sinchana- 2011.

On 11th July 2011, 101 Sarees with Blouse pieces have been donated to the poor women at a function arranged by Garden City Cultural Acadami, No. 38, Sumukha Nilaya, 4th Cross, 1st Main Road, Maruthi Nagar, Chandra Layout extension, Nagarabhavi main road, near oxford school, Bangaluru-560072.

On 1st June 2011, 600 sarees with Blouse pieces has been distributed among the poor women of Agrahara, Goni Halli, Hariyajji Halli, Ragala Halli, Kalla Halli, Karekyatana Halli, Badamarana Halli, Poojar Muddana Halli and Handi Kunte villages of Sira Taluk, Tumkur District. The connected function has been arranged at Handikunte, on the said date at 11.00 Am by the Handi kunte gramapanchayath.

On 1st June 2011, 100 sarees with Blouse pieces has been distributed among the poor artists who have assembled at Raveendra kala Kshethra, Bangalore, in a function arranged by Kannada Pathrika Kala Samskruthi Vedike and Bharatha Yuva Kendra in commemoration Nada Shilpi Sri Kempegowdara 500 Birthday celebration.

On 29th May 2011, 15 sarees with Blouse pieces has been distributed among the Brides who have newly married in a function arranged by Rotary Club of Huliyar, Chikkanayakana Halli Taluk, Tumkur District. The function has been arranged Ganesha Temple Premises, Sante Beedi, Huliyar.

On 29th May 2011 , 200 sarees with Blouse pieces has been distributed among the Senior Citizen women at a function arranged by Senior Citizen Association, Mathikere, Bangalore-560054., the function has been arranged at there premises at Ganesha Temple Ground, Mathikere, Bangalore-560054.

On 8th May 2011 100 Blouse Pieces has been distributed to the poor girls at a function arranged by Uluchkamme Brahmana Maha Sabha, Bangalore-560027.

On 6th May 2011, 945 Blouse pieces has been distributed among women devotees who have visited the temple. This has been done in view of the Akshaya Thadige which is an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar. On 29th April 2011, 75 sarees with Blouse pieces has been distributed among the poor women who have assembled in the Annual celebration of Grama Devi at Gopana Halli, Kadaba Hobli, Gubbi Taluk, Tumkur District. This has been arranged by Sri Nadaprabhu Kempegowdara Nagareekara Hitarakshana Vedike, Malleshwaram, Bangalore-560003.

On 27th April 2011 150 sarees with Blouse pieces has been distributed the poor women who have assembled at National college ground, Basavanagudi, Bangalore-560004., at a function arranged by Janamana Kannada Fortnightly Sangatane, (J.K.S)Hanumanthnagar, Bangalore.

On 24th April 2011, 150 Sarees with Blouse pieces(Cotton) has been distributed among the women belonging to backward class at a function arranged by Vidyaranyapura, Vipra Vrunda at Durgaparameshwari Temple Premises, Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore-560097.

On 7-3-2011, 204 Sarees with Blouse pieces has been distributed among the poor women at an Inaugural Function of Sri Adinarayana Temple, Talekere, Magadi Taluk, Bangalore Rural District. The function has been arranged by Dr.C.N Ashwathnarayan M.L.A Malleshwaram Constituency.

133 sarees with Blouse pieces, has been donated to Sri Vivekananda Sevashrama Eye Hospital, No. 39, 8th Main Road, Banashankari 2ns Stage, Bangalore- 560070., to distribute the same to the poor women, who are coming for eye operation on 20th February 2011 at Lingasuguru, Raichur District, Karnataka State, in the eye operation camp to be conducted by the above Institution on the above said date.

On 1st October 2011 scholarship function was of the 19th year in the name of late Sri Shilpi Basavanna of Mysore was held at the temple premises between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM. Sir TB Jaychandra , Ex Minister, Deputy Leader of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, Chairman Public Accounts Committee, Karnataka and MLA Sira Consituency, Tumkur District has presided over the function. Sir BR Najundappa, Leader of the ruling party BBMP, Sir Gangabhyraiah, Sir Muniswamy Gowda, Dr. Shiv Prasad all Corporater’s and Sir LV Sriranga Raju, Retired Chief Engineer of BBMP and Retired as Executive Director KPCL give away the scholarship to the awardees.
